In this week's episode we talk about medical school lectures and the different roles students play, from distractors to sleepers. We remind ourselves about the amazing opportunity we had at KCL to learn anatomy on real human bodies during dissections. We also discuss insecurities and how we can try and overcome them.
Find out what roles Amz and Abdul played in lecture theatres?
Our 3 golden pieces of advice from this weeks episode:
- Immerse yourself in university culture and engage with the student community at large
- Lectures are an excellent place to reinforce your learning and an opportunity to get a better understanding of complex topics. Spend time to identify the way you learn most effectively and utilise this approach for future exams and revision. You can always ask questions at the end, review the lecture online and even seek help from senior years
- Channel your energy and challenge your insecurities, don’t worry we all have them and you are not alone
